There was a fairly huge cell that became active south of Tucson early this morning. This was too
far in the distance for any thunder to really be loud enough to wake me, so it must have been the
strobe light effect from all the lightning. So, I was up on the deck at 4 am shooting this storm.
These are 15 to 25 second exposures, but all of the discharges were from a single burst and not
accumulated over those exposure times. The last image is most the impressive in that regard.
I converted these to b&w because the orange glow from Tucson on the clouds was distracting. All
of these images are significant crops from the original full frame, so the resolution isn't ideal.
