A full Moon rising through a smoke layer from the Skunk wildfire, about 120 miles NE of Tucson,
and possibly also from the Signal wildfire in New Mexico, about 175 miles NE of Tucson. While the
effect on the Moon was striking, I hope those fires are contained quickly to minimize the destruction.
Here's a wider view to give you an idea of how thick the smoke was,
even though the source(s) is/are more than 100 miles away:
