Something in the Air

Tucson, AZ

From the same evening where we had a really active storm cell move through the area, but after the storm had passed by.
The colors are real in that I did not add any enhancements aside from a slight bump in brightness. This is a single 8s
exposure taken from my home looking NW towards the Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, AZ. This is one of my favorite
shots of the 2010 thunderstorm season. I cloned out some neighborhood house lights in the foreground.

More lightning at: http://www.pbase.com/pegsam/lightning

Canon EOS 30D ,Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM
tripod, slight crop for comp full exif

This is my favorite shot in this gallery. The way the lightning seems to wrap around the cloud is beautiful Well done. V.

I can see why this is a favorite Sam. It's fantastic! I'm SO jealous. No lightning here, and if we did get it, we wouldn't know what to do with it.
