Riche de 500'000 étoiles, ce magnifique amas globulaire est à 33'900 années-lumières du Système solaire.
Son coeur est particulièrement dense, puisque la moitié de ses étoiles se tiennent dans
un rayon de 11 à 22 années-lumière. Il contient aussi un grand nombre d'étoiles variables,
en particulier du sous-type RR Lyrae.

Monture: Paramount ME.
Camera: CCD SBIG STT-8300 self-guiding Pro.
Filtres: LRGB,Ha,O3,S2
Guidage: interne, avec MaximDL.
