I took a walk from Hermosa Beach to Manhattan Beach and back for exercise, and more importantly PICTURES today. I shot this one while on the Manhattan Pier. I've always had a fondness for birds in flight, and it was kind of interesting how I managed this picture. This guy was sitting on the edge of the pier and I wanted to get him in flight, so I aimed my wheel chair at the bird then coasted in his direction while I held the camera up to my eye waiting for the bird to startle and fly away. He was pretty brave and waited almost until I bumped into the edge of the pier before he took off allowing me to capture this picture. I'm very happy with the results! 83 more pictures and I've finished my "Year" of taking a Picture a Day.
