I didn't get a picture yet today and was about to go home and as usual it's dark outside, so I played around in the office a bit before I left. This is a picture of an item I purchased at Denver Airport about eight years ago. It's a cube inside a box against some mirrors so that it appears to be floating in space. It's kind of cool in real life, and in photographic life, it'll do for my picture for today. Just to give you an idea of how odd this box is, the window on the top letting the light in is actually the front of the box that we're looking through. There's only one window in the box.

Hi John! Perhaps I was a bit confusing with the explanation about the "Window" in this box. Just figure there is only ONE opening in the box, and that's the opening on the front that we are looking through. You can easily see that opening. It's what allows you to see into the box. Now it APPEARS that there is also an opening on the top letting in light, but that opening isn't really there. That's just the mirrors reflecting back to the ONE window you're looking through on the front. If you could hold it up and look at it real closely, you'd see your face in what APPEARS to be a second window. Oh well! That's the best I can do to explain it. :)

If nothing else Paul - this image makes you look twice though have to admit I'm somewhat confused about the description of the window *LOL*

The cube is a wedge that the mirrors make LOOK like a cube. Holding it in your hands, you can move it all around and still not see evidence of the mirror. It's done quite well! The mirror leads from the front bottom, to the back top, slicing the cube in two.

Interesting.

This is so good Paul. Is the cube a cube, or does it only appear as one?
I reckon it could be a sort of wedge shape that reflects into a cube.
I wonder how people design something like this? The same sort that takes a flat card and makes a carton to hold and display an Easter Egg perhaps.
Most interesting shot.

This is a trippy image. I like it a lot, the color in the green is so crisp!
