In fact, when I took this I had just come out of an airconditioned space into the hot humid street. When I started up the camera it immediately fogged up, and was still fogged when I took the shot. So it required a fair bit of pushing in Photoshop to make it presentable. In the end I really liked the soft, slightly dreamy look; but I wouldn't have thought of trying to process it that way deliberately if it had started out with a realistic level of contrast.
