Often it seems that the people who maintain the streets are invisible to the rest of us. But in this shot, it's everyone else that's indistinct, and only the workers are real.

PS Gotta love the image stabilisation on that lens! Admittedly I was sitting on a step, with my elbows on my knees, but still ...
