Driving from Fresno to Monterey, I found the scenery often reminded me very strongly of the farm country in South-Eastern Australia. Dry land, yellow stubble and the ground eroded from beneath a fence made me quite homesick!

I'm drawn in by the barrenness, exposed to the harsh condition. Yet I always try to see beauty in everything. No exception here. Thanks for sharing your sentiments, hope you're less homesick now :-)
