2006.08.14 Question, quietly

IFC Mall, Central

20060814 006.jpg

I guess when I put on Nat King Cole's "Heart to Heart" it was already obvious I would decide to post this one today.

BTW I think yesterday's picture was rather underappreciated! It had fewer people look at it in the first 24 hours than anything I have posted in the last couple of months, but it's certainly not the least interesting thing I've done recently. I guess it's a problem with using thumbnails to decide what to look at closely - sometimes the thumbnail doesn't really give a good indication of the shot.

Or it might just be that it was a really boring shot after all! I find it hard to judge my own work.

Nice candid. The sleeper in the background makes the shot!

Yes, people in HK show an amazing ability (by my standards) to sleep anywhere, and while awake to tolerate the nearby presence of others who are snoring ...

A nice capture. The one sleeping in the background is really a interesting catch.

Well, you're right Ai Li, and I do try not to pay much attention to the hit counter. Still, I think in return for what we gain by being able to browse quickly through thumbnails, we also lose something because we miss things. I know I sometimes miss other people's good shots because there isn't time to look at everything I want to, and there isn't always a good way to know if there's something interesting in the picture without actually looking at it. And then later something brings me to the page and I wonder why I didn't look before!
