2006.06.05 Goat

KCR West Rail

20060603 014.jpg

I wanted to get a sort of "kid's eye view", so I leaned forward and rested
my elbow on my knee to support the camera at the right height. I had the
feeling that some of my fellow passengers thought I was a bit crazy!

Today's other picture

is in the Images less lucky gallery.

Nicely picked out of the crowd.
All those lines with the contrasting colors
add to it.

A great shot. Love the composition and DOF. I always want to get some shots in the MTR, but not brave enough.

Stopping down just a little from wide open usually improves the sharpness a bit, although I have never got around to doing any tests to see how much difference it makes to this lens. So I tend to do it as a matter of course unless I really need the lens wide open.

And "goat" as in "don't act the goat", but even more as in "sheep and goats" ...

Speaking of f-stops ... did you *deliberately* not go for 5.6? (Could've sped up the shutter a bit.) Not that I'm complaining... I agree depth of field is pretty much spot on for best effect in this most excellent photo.

Why "Goat"?
