20060324 068.jpg
I left work a bit earlier today. For the first time in ages, the air was very clear, and I didn't feel as if I would be shortening my life expectancy by walking around in it. (And I really wished I had taken a wider lens today.)
Then it started raining again.
The only vantage point from which I could get the colour (and not have reflections completely obscure the child) was quite some distance away. This shot is handheld at 1/13s and 300mm on a 1.6x crop factor camera (and cropped again later). I was braced against a (rather wet!) column, but I'm still very impressed by that image stabilisation: 3 out of 5 shots came out without noticeable camera shake. I was about to set up a different angle when 'dad' (I guess) arrived and the group left in a bit of a hurry.
