I was born on Creston Avenue, and even though I was little I can't get it out of my head. My Nana use to walk me down a block or two so I could get a Kosher pickle out of the barrel...and going to the candy store and getting a Jelly Apple. Then we moved to City Island.
There are family pictures of me and my sisters on the Concourse, and my Aunt use to live
opposite Poe Park.
I always liked going to St. James Park it was huge, and going to Alexanders Dept. store
I remember that Triangular Building too, and the Wagner Bldg.I remember the big clock it use to be Dollar Savings Bank, it was beautiful. I had two Aunt's that worked there, and I think there was a department store near that called Robert Hall. I had my braces put on at Columbia Pres. Hosp. on Broadway. I use to take the bus there from HS. I'm upstate now, moved out of the city in 1991....

I believe the Wagner Bldg had an elevator operator. I wore braces back then and my orthodontist was in that building. That was almost 40 yrs ago.
