This is a black and white image of the Cygnus Region of the Milky Way with the North American Nebula just left of center. Notice the major dust lanes present as well as the smaller lanes just below the North American Nebula.

Imaged with a Canon XSi DSLR and Sigma 17-70 zoom lens at 17mm focal length and f/4. The camera was mounted on a Vixen GP2 Photo Guider mount. Tracking was unguided. There are 60 x 2 minutes exposures processed using Images Plus and Photoshop CS3 software.
