Lake District

The weather wasn't all on our side during our week in the lake district. Most of the time it was overcast & windy with more than the odd spell of rain.
As a result my hopes for taking some shots of the mountains reflected in the lakes were dashed as the waves were a bit on the choppy side.
Fortunately (for me) there is an abundance of beautiful streams & waterfalls to photograph whatever the weather.

Thank you for these beautiful photos! We just came back, and I was dismayed by my poor photos. Having yours is a great consolation! Thanks for sharing them.

Great shots Scott. I just went through every picture. Except for the generally overcast skies, it looks like you had a nice holiday. The Lake District provides many isolated photo ops (like waterfalls and lush vegetation) that capture well in the neutral light of cloudy skies and you took good advantage of them.
