![]() LumiQuest Pro on the FL-40 Flash | This shows the LumiQuest system on the Olympus FL-40 flash. The way the system is show it will let 80% of the light go to the ceiling and 20% to the subject. This will kill the harsh shadows form the flash. You can put in the inserts (see previous image) they are velcroed to the little white dots you see on the inside top, you can also cover the it what the milk white diffuser.

![]() FL-BK01 / Cables | This is the Olympus flash bracket, FL-CB01. There are other bracks out there that are just as good if not better. This can be used on most Oly cameras that had a Hot Shoe or a cable connection. The handle can be taken off and use as a handle for your flash when you want the light from a different direction. Also in the picture is the FL-CB02 Hot Shoe cable, used to connect your Hot Shoe on the camera to the bracket. The FL-CB01 which is used to connect without hot shoes to the flash bracket.

It has a guide number of 12, recycle time of 4s, covers a 35mm lens, temperature 5600K, two light adjustment levels based on its sensor: F2.8 or F5.6), uses 2xAA cells, gives about 200 flashes before the batteries run out, and comes with a camera bracket. It is compatible with digital cameras that pre-flash.

![]() Ringflash | This is a ring flash. It is used in macro/closeup photography, when ambient lighting conditions are less than ideal. It has a workable range up to about 4 feet. It has manual and automatic modes, with an exposure guide printed on the back to aid in manual mode operation. It has to be triggered from the camera by a sync cord (eg FL-CB04 + 2.5mm mono jack plug converter). In the USA, SR Inc. makes a very similar unit (also with the RF-50 code number designation), which has a built-in optical slave trigger so that it fires when it detects the cameras own flash.
