Challenge 53 - "Minimalism and Simplicity" hosted by Francisco Villegas

Minimalism and Simplicity

Minimalism by the dictionary.....
- A school of painting and sculpture that emphasizes extreme simplification of form, as by the use of basic shapes and monochromatic palettes of primary colors, objectivity, and anonymity of style. Also called ABC art, minimal art, reductivism, rejective art.

Simplicity (photography)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In photography, technique of simplicity is used to achieve the effect of singling out an item or items from their surrounding.

Well, about Minimalist and Simplicity Photography... I'd say it's the use of the minimum quantity of subjects, elements or shapes over open (empty) spaces or backgrounds, making those spaces as simples as possible, examples of this: the sky, sea, snow, walls, grass, wood, etc., you may even use Foamcore or something similar. Using a shallow DOF can also produce uniform backgrounds (but remember, the space should be dominant and an active part of the composition, not just a background for a closeup).

Being minimalist, as I read somewhere... "The minimalist photography emphasizes simplicity and objectivity".

I encourage you to include titles since they add to the creativity.
Guidelines for the challenge can be found here:

https://pbase.com/otfchallenge/challenge_rules_guidelines

Please read them and if you have questions, post them in the challenge thread. If you have ideas, techniques or methods to share, please post those too.

I've no problem on how many postprocessing you do, always than the image will look like a Photograph, not an artistic painting style picture, neither blend or stitch 2 or more different images, or copy elements from a picture to another, no frames please.
