Olympus Talk | profile | all galleries >> Challenges >> Challenge 40 - TREES hosted by Sharon Engstrom | tree view | thumbnails | slideshow |
The subject of this challenge is Trees. Somewhere near you there are trees, live trees. The subject includes a single tree, a clump of trees or ... a whole forest if you like. Emphasis should be given, if possible, to capturing the subject in a way that shows it to be a live tree or trees, not shrubs (multiple trunks) and enough of the tree should be visible so the viewer can tell that it is a tree. The only restrictions are that there should be no macros of bark or leaves (needles); if it is a small tree, show the whole tree; if a large tree there should be at least 10 ft and a branch or two showing. Of course there will be other things in the photo but the live tree or trees should be the focus. Titles are just fine. I hope that you have fun with this challenge and I expect to learn a lot from you as this is something with which I have struggled. Just to clarify the requirements: a live tree or trees, not shrubs, and no macros (or micros!) Challenge entries and Exhibition gallery submissions should be emailed to slengst@aol.com. Please include your dpreview forum name with your entry. Full details in the dpreview Olympus Talk Forum Message.
