This rose, seen for the next several images, was growing next to the driveway on the side of my house
It is not especially interesting from further back but has a deeply saturated beauty from up close.
My favorite roses create a "direction" where the center swirl aims the way of the outward flowing pedals. This one doesn't have that feel
but after further review I liked it's oddity a lot. The sun was behind my house so I used a 42" reflector with soft gold
to give a light source less diffused to add some contrast to this already low contrast image.
