Something else, architecture as Tamil patromonial heritance. Just like in nature-landscapes I mostly avoid people as I noticed that walking alone in nature gives me the chance to enjoy it fully without any distraction of human presence, I tend to do likewise with architecture to imagine an acient rich culture fully.
Here one of my most favorite Kailasanathar Temple. The Temple was built by the Pallavas in the early 8th century, based on the model of the 'Five Rathas' in Mamallapuram and stood most probably model for the famous Rajarajeeswaram temple in Tanjore. Yes I include here still some people walking around the sanctuary and even a green little parrot, you find it ?
As impressions of the premisses of this old Temple, I give you a serie of six views on the richness of this buiding, all taken in an early morning sun, wich reveals the high culture of the Pallavas in the early year of 685 A.D. Notice the sitting, standing and jumping lions on the pillars indicating the 3 dynasties of the Pallavas.
