Every year you got the very popular Mariamman Temple festival at Natham during 4 days with a lot of happenings around the rather small temple in an old part of the city. During these 4 days the small city is pounding of life by the many devotees to the God Mariamman and it is not that easy to find your way through the overcrowded small streets to get to the core of the festival.
Here you see one of the devotees rolling around the sanctorum on the wet muddy floor encouraged by his friends for this holy act. The light of the TL-tubes was so low that my camera refused to focus, so I had to use manual. After this struggle between all the people, I could escape from the enthusiastic crowd, totally wet from sweating and my trousers full of mud.
I hope it was worthwhile the effort to share this particular moment.
