This is an historical district of Barcelona called Poble Nou (New Village). Deep tradition in fight for the rights of workers, deep traditions in industry and associated culture/life; nowadays the industry is almost disappeared and huge parts of the district are "reconverted" in place for building luxury hotels and condominiums, hence these great contrasts. I C U (eye see you) - or perhaps the birth opening. interesting contrast the modern high rise world on our side and the poverty of the dwellings on the other - what worlds are we born into and can we allow ourselves into the other side? really something.
