This bee would hover for hours at a time last spring on my deck. He was actually a great model. I took a whole series of pics, some good some not so good. I think he was guarding something. Then every so often another bee would fly in and they would fight. I was trying to catch them fighting, but as soon as they came together they would fly off and then he would come back and hover.

The artifacts bother me also. I just cant seem to get rid of them without screwing up the photo. So i left them BEE....sorry could help myself.

This is dynamic and I love the way the bee seems to materialise from the background.
One slight gripe, i find the sharpening artefacts around the antennae disturbing.

Another great entry! I keep looking for the wires that are holding him still enough for you to take his photo. Or if no wires, I'm wondering how long you sat there waiting for him to do a fly by...or should I say a buzz by! Great songphoto!
