Thank you Bill, Bill, Mark & Adrian. Sometimes I even surprise myself! It's seeing all your good photos on these challenges and in the forum that inspire me to try new things and try to get the photos I want. One never stops learning, that is the best part of life!

Shirley,
This image exemplifies the true spirit of the theme of this competition. Very well done.
As of now, it's my #1 choice and you have my vote.

Wow Shirley...excellent job you have been paying attention haven't you my dear. Your photography is improving by leaps and bounds and it is a pleasure for all to see. This a fantastic capture, a little longer exposure would be all I'd adjust but it really works the way it is, very well done...bravo

G'day Shirely, yep - a truly excellent capture! - I really think you nailed the comp on this one (everything just works), and definately worth the trip to catch the car tracks in the snow - that adds soooo much movement and light to this great catch. I always enjoy pics that have mist/fog in them, as the vanishing pts/horizon is so undefined that it leaves you guessing whats beyond - and this one has that feeling in spades. Finally, the colours also seem very true to what i'd expect to see - a very fine image. thank you. adrian

Thank you so much for your helpfull suggestions. Oh I do wish I would have used a longer exposure to get those wonderful tail light lines like you got in your bridge photo. I was able to tilt the photo so that the e-pay booths were horizontal and cropped out a bit of the sky but, the other things will required a retake, which I will do as soon as we get another dusting.

A wonderful scene. Exceptional structure on the road and the gentle colors make the picture very strong. Two points what I would try: rotate the picture a little to make the line of the open entrances horizontal (and may be crop a bit from the top), and remove the blury cars (headlights). If you can reshot, you can try to use much longer exposures (or stack pictures) to introduce more lines with the headlight trails. Very well done anyway. MCsaba
