Ground #1 - by endika

This is a sepulchre in the Cathedral Cloister's ground.
In fact, the ground is a succession of different sepulchres of rich families and guilds.

Thanks for your comments!
Sure the Grateful Dead would like this "Walk of Fame". LOL

I've looked at these three entries many many times. As Art says, they could be a sidewalk. They could also be stone bricks of a building's wall. Each is intriguing in its own right, but this one I find the most appealing, in a macabre sort of way. --Stefan

Well, sidewalk, all three, of cut stone... perhaps in a park or memorial rather than just between buildings and curb.

kind of like the music "Walk of Fame?" this would be the Grateful Dead.

Shirley, it's not so old actually, 18th century or so I guess, but its own nature makes it to be so worn...

Thanx for your comments!
A little clue: my three entries are different versions of the same thing... ;o)

Is it related to the black death? (do not answer me, I am just guessing what Michael thinks) On the mass graves. It does look extremely old.

too substancial for a toombstone... maybe decorating the wall of a cript?

My friend from England had a guess at this. I would never have guessed, but I think he might be right. I'll save his guess until closer to the end if no one else guesses it.

It looks very toxic to me. :o)
