Oh No a Wasp! - Shirley
by Shirley Haden

My brother got stung while riding his motorcycle (back in the 70s) he barely made it home. Mom called an ambulance and they got there and stuck breathing tubes down his throat. It had swollen shut and he nearly died. I've never been stung by a wasp, but I'm scared of them!

Very good and sharp rendition. Was this done with ED 150mm F/2 lens?

Neither I do like them!
Fantastic macro, you kept in focus just the insect, also I like very much the flower because it works perfect to complete the image.

I had to look at this several time to tell which end was which. It looks like his stinger sticking out there, but it is his face and the pincers are showing a touch of yellow from the flower. His eyes look so colorless they barely show up. His wings look rough like he is on his last days.

There is such a question in the motorcycle exam : What to do if you are attacked by bees ?
I forgot the correct answer, probably pull over. I got stung 3 times last week in the backyard, the medicinal cream was close by. It only hurt for 2 days.
