1st place - c120 Not the Whole Thing - Pla de la Boqueria - by endika

This place is located in the Ramblas, in front of one of the old gates of the Barcelona's medieval walls.
In these old times, many merchants and farmers used to offer their products in this place, out of the city to avoid taxes.

Hi Endika! I haven't forgotten you. I really love the wonderful contrast in this shot and I look and look at these great b&w shots over and over and...this one I would like on my wall. It keeps my attention. I think if someone were in my house they would be drawn to it too.

I very much like this one. The parked bike dominates the scene, but sends the eye up to that fellow walking by. From there, we see the activity of others and finally circle back to the lone bike (across those undiulating tiles that seem proto-Gaudi to me).

I, too, noticed the contrast and how effectively it brings out the various patterns in the basket carrier and the tiles.
