Merlins are usually seen as flybys at Ensley Bottoms but this fiesty, adult female stayed almost a week and kept the horde of shorebirds on their toes. I saw her take one swallow and one Least Sandpiper but she scared the beejeebees out of everyone. She would fly a mile just to dive on any other raptor that came by.
