The Richardson's Cackling Goose (in front) is supposed to be larger than a Ross's Goose (in back) averaging 2300 grams compared to 1250 grams for Ross's. The small group of Cackling that came into Shelby Farms here in Memphis with these Ross's were the same size or as you can see here in some cases even smaller. There is a Snow goose standing behind the sleeping Ross's.
