Just to show how small and how differently shaped the bill and head on a Cackling Goose is compared to an "interior" Canada Goose. Note the triangular shape, straight culmen and the length of the bill, if folded back on the head would only reach, at most, mid eye.

The small bill and head shape give these geese a real sweet face, although flat headed, but similar to the round sweet face of the Ross's Goose.
