After quite a few years of seeing immature California Gulls, I discovered the first at Pickwick Dam in the mid 1990's, Mike Todd and I found this cooperative adult at Pace Point in Henry Co. There was a big movement of California Gulls across the mid-south in 2003-2004. I found 2 immature birds at Pickwick and in north MS, plus others were reported in north Alabama and KY this same winter. See the California Gull Gallery for more images.
