When I first started birding, Turkey Vultures were rarely seen over Memphis and Black Vultures only when the Mississippi, on a sudden fall, left fish stranded and the Black Vultures came into town to take advantage of this wind fall. Now, over 100 Black and Turkey Vultures have recently been comming to roost on this radio tower in a Memphis neighborhood.......and now vultures can be expected any day just about anywhere in Memphis.
