Secrets of my Father

In honor to my Father (1927-1999).

Recently I found three photoalbums he kept for himself. It shows his (forced) journey to Indonesia in 1947-1949, to defend the interests of The Netherlands and to prevent Indonesia to gain their independance. He loved the country and the people and did not want to talk about his difficult time there. He was glad the Indonesian people gained their freedom at last.
To my great surprise he made a lot of photo's of that time.
I scanned some photo's to share the life and sights of those countries in that time. I hope you enjoy it.

Well done, and thank goodness for prints. 60 years later, still useful. I will bet that 60 years from now, no digital image will be easy to extract, if still uncorrupted. No software from 60 years ago, no storage from 60 years ago etc. So, hurrah! for your father, and thank you for reminding us to make use of the family album. Albums may not exist, 60 years from now.
