Every Saturday when the weather is fine, hundreds of car enthusiasts in Virginia, D.C., Maryland and neighboring states wake up early to bring their automotive treasures to the D.C. suburb of Great Falls, VA, for a 7-to-9 a.m. gathering called Cars & Coffee. Usually, most attendees come and go, with some staying only for a short while. Many show up sporadically, some with a different car each time, so most cars tend to be different from one Saturday to the next, practically making every visit worthwhile.

Whenever I attend this Cars & Coffee, I usually photograph whatever cars catch my eye, whether or not I had photographed them before. I am pleased to share in this gallery my favorite shots from among the thousands of photos I took at this weekly gathering in 2012 and 2013. Except for the first image, all the photos here are grouped chronologically from the earliest to the latest, by year, month and day, but not by time. Each of my visits is represented by at least a half-dozen images.
