Hericeum cirrhata Toton Fields LNR Nottingham 2019-11-10

A first Notts record, this uncommon fungus with long tubes looking like teeth hanging down below was photographed growing on the cut edge of a felled Poplar trunk by one of our members. There are 214 records nationally but it is locally common only in a few areas. It is the commonest of three of this genus.
