A little recorded hyphomycete growing here on a dead hogweed stem. The dark bristly or short hairy mat on the stem is actually made up of the brown hyphae (conidiophores) that bear the minutely verruculose 0-2 (rarely 3) septate conidia, as in the microscope picture.
