A quite rare Psathyrella with just 10 and 16 records on the CATE2 and FRDBI databases. These were found in damp sandy soil with woody debris. Not a first for Notts though; we have recorded it previously in the county. The bright colour which gives it its name is fairly short-lived. The flask-shaped cheilocystidia in the photograph are typical.
