It never really got light today
the land and the sea were cast in an eerie glow
and everybody seemed to be moving slowly
as if half asleep.
A walk on the beach
a frothy cofee
at a café overlooking the sea
and a visit to the cinema
then home again
in a dreamy kind of daze.
