bitterly cold

The sun had barely peeked above the horizon
before I arrived at work.
Frost and ice peppered the earth
The north wind was howling as I drove home,
but I always enjoy the drive
nice and cosy in the car.
Now I'm at home,
and I keep peeking outside to see if there's snow
then I might get the day off!
