1st April 2005, shearing time

'Anything for the weekend?'
That's what barbers used to say.
It seems to have gone out of fashion,
along with curly-wurlies and space-hoppers.
And the hyphen.
Aiden looks quite pleased with his haircut.
We have visitors coming on Sunday,
all the way from New York.
These haircuts are all part of a massive operation
to make ourselves presentable.
I've been tittivating the garden to within an inch of its life,
and tomorrow, there's the windows to do.
Now I must nip to the Tower for the night.
I should have left five minutes ago :-0

Really admire your B&W candids!I always feared the barber in my youth. We were sheared to within millimeters of peach fuzz.Mirrors are such alluring elements that always try to steal the show.Nice personable mood in this one.Good show!

Very nice portrait. I like the reflection of the mirror showing that fellow wandering by. Adds a touch of realism, less posed...more natural

He looks wonderful a very handsome fellow there. I am sure he will impress your friends and he appears quite impressed with his haircut himself.

He looks quite pleased! Wonderful photo! The b&w makes it feel "old timey".

Looks like a great haircut to me! By the way, you can still get curly-wurlys out here, let me know if you get desperate.

I never smiled in the barbers when I was his age.
Thinks....when I was his age, the Rolling Stones were unleashing themselves on the world with their unkempt hair!

Aiden looks quite pleased, but Tasmin looks a bit skeptical as though she is saying "don't take too much off."
Guest 01-Apr-2005 17:27
Good shot, he does look very smart.
