Ahh you have been down to Perthshire for the weekend!
Balvaird is an interesting castle, although I always found the caphouse on the stair tower of curious design! The land belonged to the Barclays, from whom it passed by marriage to the Murrays, who built the castle in the 1400s, and subsequently became Lords Balvaird.
I have a number of pictures of Balvaird in my collection, some quite good, but this is the best yet, please keep up your good work!!
