I've never been to Brighton before
and it wasn't what I expected.
I liked it
Had fish and chips on the beach
and a coffee and shortbread in the Grand Hotel.
I remember when it was bombed in the eighties.
I was away in the South Pacific
and was told that parliament and the government had been blown up
and there was a military crackdown.
Had to wait ages to find out what really happened.
