It was this image that made me realize why I have reacted so emotionally to all your photos. You paint with your lens. You control your camera to expose the best of the scene you are attempting to capture and somehow enhance it as only an artist can. Thank you for taking this old lady to places she can no longer go and stirring my soul with beauty. I also find your documentary on the old slough very informative. We don't realize how well some of us live until we see how time erodes the worlds not too far away. Even in those photos, you brought beauty, color and form. Again, my hat goes off to your genius. RS

This could be a standard landscape shot, the kind everyone can get lucky with every once in a while, except that the flowers in the foreground pull it together, making us notice the picture, and letting us know how many worlds away better than that it is. --Jenifer Hatch
