Wailaikum Assalam Noor Khan Bro. Well, I am not sure if I know much about Peshawar, but I definitely know one thing that I really love my city Peshawar. I was born and grew up in a village (called Garhi Qamardin) in Peshawar. During my childhood we also lived for a couple of years in Dabgari bazaar behind the Dabgari police station (called as Shah Qabool Police station these days). I got my elementary schooling from Elizabeth school (near mission hospital) in dabgari.
I live in UK now with my family working as a design engineer in an Oil & Gas company. I visit Peshawar almost every year just for the love of my city. And while in UK I quench that thirst by visiting your gallery. So Thanks a lot for sharing this!
I was eight years old in 1982 while I was counting those 'dhoolki' and you were snapping those shots.
Niaz Jan,
Asalaamu aliekum,
It seems like you really know Peshawar. Where do you live? Where did you grow up? I must be about 20 (?) years older than you if you were a kid counting 'dhoolki' while I was snapping that shot upstairs in Dabgari!
Thanks for reminding of the name of this mazar. I had forgotten it. Give my salaams/dua to all of Peshawar... (wakht tereegee yaar) times maybe have changed but "Pekhawar kho Pekhawar day kena"
Pa makha day kha wrora
