Gray Morning Sunrise_NBP6736.jpg

This was a last minute addition to the exhibit.
With a gray sky and rain clouds moving in I didn't expect to see the sun when I headed out this morning.
I thought sunrise was going to be a bust. Moving slowly...looking around...I saw this.
I got my gear out of the car and ran onto the beach. Set my tripod and camera up in quick time.
Got a few shots off before the sun disappeared for the rest of the day. This was the second shot.
I like the ethereal feel of the water and the juxtaposition of the red and yellow sun on the gray surroundings.
I guess, I was lucky. But you have to be out there to come across something like this.

I'll be posting a Utah gallery soon. I've been busy with a couple of workshops.
I've updated my website more upcoming workshops. http://www.nikhilbahl.com/instruction_photography_classes.html

It's a beautiful shot! The grey and contrasting colour are very effective. Voted.

Excellent addition it is, Nikhil. It's crazy how your CSS matches the color almost precisely too. The sun keeps getting more and more isolated. Well done.
