The moment I saw this on my computer, I knew it was my favorite of the year. Part of the appeal is that Vaudie is a brilliant performer and a wonderful person. Part of the appeal is that it was taken in less than ideal conditions in bad lighting and during a performance. But mainly, I think it is a wonderful shot. I printed it 13 x 19, matted and framed it, and got lots of great comments before i gave it to her.
