Named the same as the plantation in Darrow Louisiana, this beautiful home was once located closer to Franklin seven miles away from it's present location, and was moved by barge in 1963. It is said to be the largest structure to be moved in such a manner. Looking at the home and it's setting it is hard to imagine it not being in this location forever.
The home was built in 1846 and was known as Oak Bluff Plantation.
It is located on LA hwy 182 the Old Spanish Trail and is a private residence.
