Located adjacent to Bayou Teche, this was formerly the Breaux Bridge Sugar company. Like most, it has since shut down, the buildings gone and the only remains are the tall stacks from which the smell of cooking sugar cane wafted through town.

Now only the larger refineries remain, a product of mechanization.
