The old Texas & Pacific railroad depot is now a transportation hub for the City of Alexandria transit system

In the 40's and 50's I made many stops at this station on my way from New Orleans to Gladewater Texas.

Now, Amtrak's Texas Eagle passes through Gladewater but does not stop, and Alexandria is not served by any passenger rail service. Times have changed
