The cropped one has a more intimate feel- a sense of people rather than an interesting building..

Of the two photos, this is the one that I like best. I get more of a feel of how old the house is. I also like that the window is off center. I really like this image. I am a fan of window shots!

I prefer the former. Made me feel I couls stand on tiptoe and peer in. This does not feel so inviting to me, seems darker, dirtier, and unwelcoming. My opinion.
